Updates and reminders are below.
There will not be age group practice at CB South this Saturday (July 8th) due to the PAAC meet. See calendar for other practice information.
Any athlete interested in tie dying on Saturday at Nor Gwyn after swimming should bring a white shirt and tell Kirsten Brasch or Morgan Scott by tomorrow so they can purchase enough materials. Once they know how many people are attending they will figure how much you should bring to cover the cost of materials.
Upcoming Deadlines (details of each item below or see separate email sent previously for championship meet related information)
- Right away – email Julie Kline (firstname.lastname@example.org) if you are officiating or cannot volunteer at any portion of a championship meet in which your swimmer is participating.
- July 9 – Silver & Senior champs additional qualified entry email deadline. Also JOs availability deadline.
- July 15 – payment due date for all currently billed charges for college swimmers and high school seniors who graduated last month
- July 16 – JOs additional qualified entry email deadline.
- July 25 – payment due date for July bills
- August 15 – registration deadline for 2017-18 (short course and year-round)
Billing and Payments
July bills were emailed for all swimmers on Monday. If you did not receive a bill (even if you believe you don’t owe anything) please contact me immediately. Note that for monthly payers these bills include July and August program fees as we know many of our families vacation during August and all 2016-17 fees must be paid prior to registration for next season. If you'd like to break the dues payment up, all July fees are due by July 25 (all fees for prior to July are overdue and must be paid immediately) and the August dues fee is due no later than August 25. Meet entries, equipment charges (caps/apparel), team travel, and any other charges incurred for long course 2017 will be billed as early in August as known. All 2016-2017 bills must be paid in full in order for a swimmer's registration for next season to be processed so please get your bill paid as soon as possible.
Note that college swimmers and high school seniors need to have all fees paid by July 15th. If you fall into either of those categories, please remit the full amount of your bill so that we’ll receive it no later than July 15th.
Remember that there is a drop-box available at CB South (inside so only accessible during our practice times) and drop-boxes at 16 Welden Drive (outside so accessible any time but remember to place your payment in a tightly sealed plastic bag).
Please do not contact meet hosts directly regarding entries for meets into which CBST has entered as a team. This causes the potential for problems with entries for your swimmers and other swimmers on our team, and often damages our team’s relationship with the meet host, jeopardizing our future ability to get into their meets.
Once entered into a meet, CBST swimmers are expected to swim all the events that they have signed up for. If your swimmer’s plans change ahead of time and s/he is unable to attend a meet that s/he is entered in, please email Julie Kline at email@example.com and Coach Stu at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. During long course meets, it can be especially difficult for both the meet director and our coaches to manage when they are unaware that a registered swimmer will not be in attendance. Barring an emergency, swimmers will not be scratched from events the day of the meet (if a swimmer wishes to scratch they must do so prior to the day of the meet).
Individuals not swimming in a meet (including parents and other family members of swimmers) may not be on deck during a meet (home or away) except when working as an on-deck volunteer at their assigned time. When on deck working, officials and other volunteers should be in the spot where they need to be to do their job (which is never the CBST team area).
See separate email (sent last month) regarding championship meet entries and volunteering.
