Please see below for important NLAC Swimfest information (including volunteering assignments and changes to meet timeline).
NLAC SWIMFEST MEET
The meet host has asked that we pass along the information below regarding the NLAC Swimfest meet this weekend. Please read through this information prior to leaving for the meet as it contains many details that are imperative to navigating the weekend successfully. We will be sure to communicate any pertinent information to the team as soon as we receive it. Please note that it may be most efficient to send updates via our CBST Twitter feed rather than email, so plan to pay attention to both communication avenues. Also note that the meet director refers below to the timeline which has not been circulated yet. If/when they provide it to us we will pass it along.
We have the first round of updated meet information for you all. Please share with your swimmers and families. Due to scheduling conflicts with PSU, we have had to make several adjustments to our meet timeline and format. Please pay careful attention to the following information...
Friday AM will have a later warm up at 9:30am (deck access not before 9:15am) with a start time of 10:30am.
Friday 1500, no significant changes, see timeline
Friday PM, events #47- #50, 9/10&11/12 200 IM originally scheduled as the last events of the Saturday PM session will now be swum on Friday evening after the 1500s.
We will have a positive check in for these events, closing at 5pm, with warm up at 5:15pm (or when the 1500s are complete) and a start time of 5:45pm.
We realize this may be inconvenient for your swimmers/families but this change is necessary due to situations beyond our control. If your swimmers cannot make it to swim this event on Friday, we will reimburse their entry fees after the meet. Swimmers will need to provide their own timers.
Saturday AM, due to Penn State Varsity practice and lifeguard scheduling problems, we will not have deck access before 8am, warm up should begin at 8:15 and meet start time will be no earlier than 9am. The forthcoming timeline will have more specific information.
Saturday PM, this session will be running much later than expected therefore we decided to move the last events (200 IMs) to the only available time on Friday rather than having to cancel the events entirely when we inevitably run out of daylight.
Sunday AM/Mini/PM sessions, no significant changes, see timeline
Warm Up/Warm Down breaks:
We will not be using the indoor pool for warm up/warm down. We have built in breaks throughout the timeline to accommodate this. These breaks will be indicated in the timeline.
Positive Check In for distance events (swimmers must provide timers and counters):
Friday - 1500 closes at 12:30pm, 200 IM closes at 5:00pm
Saturday - 400 free closes at 12:45pm
Sunday - 400 IM closes at 10:30am
For each AM and PM session, the NLAC Meet Director asked CBST to provide 1 timer.
Below are the assigned slots for Central Bucks Swim Team. We are asking that two families split each assigned session. Please note that most meets will not begin if teams do not fulfill their volunteer responsibilities. Please keep this in mind and do not force coaches to come find you. Their efforts should be focused solely on the swimmers this weekend. If you are unable to fulfill your volunteer assignment, please find someone else during your session to switch with. Thanks again!
CBST was assigned to time Lane 5 for all sessions throughout the weekend.

As per PSU and MA policy, only swimmers are allowed in the indoor locker rooms including the hallway leading to those locker rooms, no parents or coaches will be permitted in these areas. There are bathrooms located in the area around the outdoor pool that are open for spectators.
The weather forecast for the weekend is currently looking pretty good but should we encounter severe weather the PSU staff will let us know if we need to clear the pool. Should we experience lightning in the area, we will be required to move all spectators, swimmers, coaches and meet staff to the indoor facility, where we will wait a determined amount of time before re-starting the meet. Please be prepared to take essential personal items with you in the event that we need to evacuate the outdoor area as re-entry will not be permitted until it is safe to do so to be determined by the PSU staff.
Tents and Designated Areas:
Feel free to bring tents to set up in the grass areas. As per MA policy, the spectator and the swimmer/coach/team areas must be separate. Spectators will be allowed to set up in the grass area to the right of the entry gate, swimmers and coaches will set up to the left of the entry gate. Please abide by this separation policy. At the end of the afternoon sessions, or if we need to move indoors due to weather, please lower your tents as low as possible.
There will be no concession stand available during this meet. Please feel free to bring food and drinks for your swimmers. The Berkey Creamery will be open and is a short walk from the pool.
Thank You and stay tuned for more information...
