CBST Coaches

Stu
Kukla is
the Head Coach of CBST with over 14 years of coaching experience in a
variety of locations and levels. He is an ASCA level 4 coach (American
Swimming Coaches Association)
that has worked with Olympic Trial qualifiers and Olympians as well as
numerous Senior National and Junior National level swimmers. As head coach
of CBST he as overseen the development of the team from its infancy, in the
fall of 2005, to a team of 140+ senior and age group athletes which include
Senior National, Junior National, Sectional, Zone, and Junior Olympics
qualifiers. Prior to taking over at CBST Stu was an assistant coach at
Germantown Academy under Dick Shoulberg, for 3 years. While at GA he was an
assistant for the woman’s team that won the 2005 National Championship. He
was also head coach of the Upper Moreland High School boys before that where
his swimmers earned All-State honors in multiple events. Before beginning
CBST Stu coached the Upper Dublin Aquatic Club (UDAC) in the Suburban
Aquatic League for 9 years taking that team to its first and only league
title in his final year. Stu earned his bachelors degree from Ursinus
College, with a major in History and a minor in Elementary Education, while
his Masters is from Arcadia University, in Education. He is dual certified
in Elementary Education and Secondary Social Studies.

Jeff
Faikish
has been
involved in swimming his entire life. Having swam in the Bux-Mont summer
swim league (Nor-gwyn) and in the Suburban Aquatic League (North Penn) as a
kid, Jeff continued his career at North Penn High School where he was named
an All-American in both swimming and water polo. He briefly attended the
University of Connecticut after receiving a swimming scholarship, but later
transferred to Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) where he earned a
degree in Sports Psychology with a minor in Sociology. His coaching career
spans 14 years and has included a variety of positions in the Bux-Mont, SAL,
PIAA, NCAA, and USA swimming. Currently Jeff is a USA certified and an ASCA
(American Swimming Coaches Association) Level 1 certified coach and
holds the lead assistant coach title with CBST. As the head coach of
Lansdale he has increased team membership from 68 athletes to 175 and
improved the team's success over the last nine years. In the past Jeff
worked as an Aquatic Director at the North Penn YMCA and as an assistant
coach at North Penn High School for the boys' swimming and diving team.
Before working at North Penn, he was the head coach of the boys' swimming
and diving team at Methacton High School. In addition to high school
competition, Jeff had a lot of success at the NCAA level. When he was the
sprint team coach for IUP, he helped 11 athletes qualify for the NCAA
Division II National Championships. He was also a key member in the effort
to raise $650,000 to support the IUP swimming programs, which was headlined
by the late John A. Pidgeon. |

Casmera
Wick graduated from Rutgers in 2004 with a BA in Psychology.
While swimming for Rutgers she was named Team Captain
and earned Academic All American honors. Last summer she was
Assistant Coach for Hideaway Swim Club. She is excited to coach and
help CBST swimmers achieve their goals. |
Dr.
Yan Sun is a Pharmaceutical Chemist at
Glaxo-Smith Kline. She has been involved in competitive swimming
for over 30 years. She swam for 4 years (two as team Captain) at Beijing University, where her
team won the Chinese National Collegiate Championship each year. Dr.
Sun is also an USA Swimming Official.

Bridget Regan graduated with a Master's degree in Secondary English Education
from the University of Connecticut, where she served as swim team Captain.
For three years prior to joining CBST, she coached Junior National,
Sectional and Junior Olympic qualifiers at NRG Swimming in Langhorne.
She is also the Head Coach of the Philadelphia Quartette Swim Team which
competes in the Lower Bucks Swim Team |
Mike
Carroll graduated from Pennsylvania State University in 2009 with a
B.S. in Finance. Mike is in his first year coaching for CBST. Prior to
joining CBST, he served as a coach at Manorlu Swim Club for 4 seasons, and
helped lead them to 2 league titles. Mike also coached for one year at
UDAC with the age group program. As a swimmer, Mike was a Junior National
qualifier while swimming IM and distance events. |

Mike Bonitatibus
has been coaching for 5 years under Stu at Maple Manor Swim Club. He has
been coaching CBST for the last 3 years. He has been the head coach of the
girls team for South/West Aquatic club for the last 2 years. He is also an
assistant swim coach for CB West High School. He swam 4 years at Upper
Dublin High School and 1 year at Towson University. He graduated from
Towson University with a B.S. in Physical Education in 2008 and is
currently a substitute looking for a full time job teaching Health &PE. |
Krystle Eberwein is a former Penn State graduate,
where she was on the varsity swim team. She
was a distance swimmer, Academic All-American,
and Big Ten Champion with the PSU Women's
Swim Team. She is a teacher and loves helping
others. She grew up in Upper Dublin and learned
how to swim with Stu at Maple Manor. Krystle
has been an assistant swim coach at MM, UDAC,
GAAC, Big Cat, Ida Baker High School, and now at CBST.

Kristen Harrison
graduated from Bloomsburg University in December 2006 with a certification
in elementary and special education. She swam all four years and was
Captain her senior year. Kristen mainly swam long distance freestyle and
occasionally butterfly. She has a strong passion for swimming, as well as
working with children. Currently, Kristen is in her 3rd year teaching
emotional support (special ed.) at Maple Point Middle School in Langhorne.
This is her 3rd year coaching for CBST. Kristen has also been an Assistant
Coach for SWAC boys for the past 3 seasons, and Assistant Coach at Lenape
Valley Swim Club for 6 summers. Last fall, she began graduate classes at
Gwynedd Mercy College with a goal of receiving a masters in education next
winter. |
Diana Skoutelas
graduated from New York University in 2009 with a BA in Metropolitan
Studies and currently works part-time for the American Cancer Society. At
the age of 5, she joined her first swim team and continued on with the
sport through her first year at NYU. Diana swam all 4 years of high
school, while also swimming for USS and YMCA teams. This is her first
year coaching with CBST, and she has several years coaching experience
thru volunteering with both swimming and volleyball Special Olympics
teams. |

Michelle Kelly has
been coaching for Central Bucks Aquatics for four years---the first as the
assistant boys coach for SWAC and the past three as the assistant girls
coach for CBAC. She graduated in 1999 from Millersville University with a
Bachelor's degree in Social Work. Michelle stays busy raising two boys of
her own, as well as working with families of children with mental health
issues throughout Bucks County. |
Sara Coenen graduated form the University of
Pennsylvania with a B.A. in Psychology. Prior to joining CBST, she
coached for both the Richboro Swim Club and Maple Manor swim teams, at
Penn's summer clinic and volunteering with Special Olympics swmming.
Sara swam for Germantown Academy and was a team captain her senior year,
a Jr. National and National qualifier, a member of the 2005 National
Championship team and part of the 400 yd. freestyle relay that still
currently holds the National High School Record. At Penn, she swam all
four years and was Ivy Champion in the 100 and 200 yd. backstroke her
sophomore year, broke the Ivy record in the 100 backstroke and named All
Ivy in the same events. Due to illness, she was unable to compete at the
same level her junior and senior year, but continued to swim and lead
the team as co-captain both years.

Cindy Queen
graduated in May 2007 from East Stroudsburg University of
Pennsylvania with a Bachelor of Science in Recreation and Leisure Services
Management. She started swimming when she was 4 at Hideaway Swim Club from
there to HHAA and UDAC, USS, and swam all four years in high school as
well as College. She has been coaching for CBAC & CBST for four
years. She is currently the Assistant Manager of Doylestown Country Club
where she is the Lead manager of the new pool facility. She thoroughly
enjoys family events and children's activities at the pool and the rest of
the club. |
