Swimmers are reminded that they should never leave their swim bags or other belongings in the locker rooms. All items should be placed in the swimmer’s bag and bags should be left on deck for the duration of practice.
There will be no age group practice on the following October dates:
October 27 (football game)
October 31 (holiday)
There will be no senior MORNING practice on the following upcoming dates:
October 30 (day after our meet)
November 1 (day after Halloween)
These dates as well as others are on the team calendar. As additional conflict dates approach they will be included in team emails as possible but please remember to check the calendar often.
COMMUNICATIONS / MEETINGS:
Senior Flash Swimmers – Those participating full or part time in this practice group during the high school season should have received an informational email from me earlier today. If you believe you should have received an email but did not, please contact Coach Stu.
October bill payments are due by the 25th. If you have not yet turned in your payment please place it in the box at South tonight during practice time.
If you ordered any CBST apparel this fall, the items will be available to pick-up during our Autumn Festival meet. If you will not be attending this meet, and you ordered team apparel, a separate communication will be sent out regarding a pick-up time and location.
CBST coaches require all CBST swimmers to wear a CBST cap (personalized or non-personalized) during any USA Swimming meet that they are attending. If you did not have the opportunity to purchase a personalized swim cap or just want to make sure that you swimmer is ready for the fall season, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will provide you with cap purchasing information.
Entries for the CBST October meet are on the CBST website – meets page. Recall that entries will NOT be updated in the portal.
Once entered into a meet, CBST swimmers are expected to swim all the events that they have signed up for. If your swimmer’s plans change ahead of time and s/he is unable to attend a meet that s/he is entered in, please email Julie Kline at email@example.com and Coach Stu at firstname.lastname@example.org as soon as possible. Barring an emergency, swimmers will not be scratched from events the day of the meet (if a swimmer wishes to scratch they must do so prior to the day of the meet).
Individuals not swimming in a meet (including parents and other family members of swimmers) may not be on deck during a meet (home or away) except when working as an on-deck volunteer at their assigned time. When on deck working, officials and other volunteers should be in the spot where they need to be to do their job (which is never the CBST team area). Recall that parents are not permitted to be in the locker rooms.
Additional information about our hosted meet will be emailed tomorrow.
