Good Luck to all the CBST swimmers attending NCAP this weekend!
Coach Stu has provided an itinerary for the weekend and it is attached to this email. In addition, the link below will provide you with information regarding this invitational. This includes, schedule, timeline, psych sheet, etc. Please take some time to thoroughly read through the attached itinerary and the link below so that you and your swimmer(s) are prepared for the weekend.
The NCAP Invitational cannot run smoothly without the help of volunteers from all attending teams. Please consider helping our meet host this weekend. If CBST volunteers do not step up to help throughout the weekend, the meet director will approach our team and request the coaches to find parents to help. CBST staff is asking the families attending NCAP to utilize the link below to sign up for volunteer slots. More detailed information regarding the timing and specific volunteer needs can be found in the sign-up genius below.
Specifically, the meet host is in need of "Course Clerks". Please consider filling in these vacancies and sign-up to help. As always, thank you in advance!

Officiating at NCAP
The information below is a request from the NCAP meet staff for officials. If you are able to officiate, please read through the details and complete the application.
"On behalf of Nation’s Capital Swim Club, this is a call for officials, including evaluations and assigned deck positions for the 2016 NCAP Invitational at the University of Maryland Eppley Recreation Center from December 8th through 11th, 2016, which is traditionally one of the fastest swim meets in the country during the Fall short course season. This is a Championship Meet with 2 eight lane courses for Preliminary Sessions and Finals Sessions at the Championship Pool. The timed finals distance on Thursday session and 13 & over sessions will be divided in the traditional girls and boys pools. The 12 & under sessions will have the 11 & under girls together with the 10 & under boys and the 11 & under boys together with the 10 & under girls. We look forward to welcoming many swimmers, coaches and volunteers from across the country to our meet and last year we had officials from twelve LSC’s on deck.
This Meet is the fall Officials’ Qualifying Meet (“OQM”) under USA Swimming OQM# 16-177 for PVS Swimming and we are lucky to have Jayne Spittler from Illinois Swimming as our lead national evaluator. We are also pleased to have Boots Hall and Bob Vincent from PVS Swimming and Steve Lottes from Maryland Swimming to give us a top notch evaluation team. The meet is approved to handle N2 and N3 evaluations and re-certifications across the board except N3 final evaluations for Deck Referee and Admin Referee.
A copy of the Meet Announcement is here: 2016 NCAP Invitational Meet Announcement. If you are available to officiate, please fill out the Application to Officiate & Request for Evaluation here: NCAP Invite 2016 application to officiate."

Scratching From NCAP:
If your swimmer’s plans change and s/he is unable to attend NCAP, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org and Coach Stu at email@example.com as soon as possible. Unfortunately, sometimes situations do arise where a swimmer has to scratch the meet on the day-of. Please make sure you email both Julie Kline and Coach Stu as they are in contact with the coaching staff attending each meet.
· Individuals not swimming in a meet (including parents and other family members of swimmers) may not be on deck during a meet (home or away) except when working as an on-deck volunteer at their assigned time. When on deck working, volunteers should be in the spot where they need to be to do their job (which is never the CBST team area).
· Once entered into a meet, CBST swimmers are expected to swim all the events that they have signed up for. Barring extreme circumstances, swimmers will not be scratched from events the day of the meet (if a swimmer wishes to scratch they must do so prior to the day of the meet).
Thanks again and good luck to all our CBST swimmers this weekend!
