NPAC New Year's Meet
Below is information that was forwarded to us regarding this weekend's NPAC New Year’s meet. Please be sure to read through this information as there are some time changes and action items.
We are looking forward to hosting you at our New Year’s meet next weekend.
It is a full meet so for safety reasons, I wanted to make you aware of a few things:
1. Session 2 & 4 Warmup have been pushed back to 12:30, Start at 1:30
2. NO DECK ENTRIES
3. Positive Check in for 500 Free and 400 IM ends at 7:00 AM both mornings.
4. Some Teams will be sitting in the gyms in the main building
5. ***Admissions will be in the main building which is different than many of you are used to.
6. Warm up times, psych sheets, and anything else you need to know is at the following link:
7. We are in need of timers for the NPAC New Year’s meet. If anyone would like to be a timer, you will receive free admission. The stands will be VERY FULL so this may be a more comfortable alternative. Thank you for considering.
**If you are able to volunteer, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org by Thursday at 11:59 pm indicating which session you would like to volunteer for.**
Additional information previously sent from NPAC meet host:
We are in need of officials for the NPAC New Year’s Meet on Jan 20-21, 2018.
Here is the link to our US Officials signup for the New Year’s Meet. Please send to your certified officials. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/30e0f45aaab28aa8-officials2
Also, prepare your teams: because of the number of swimmers attending, teams will have to sit in the gym which is down the hallway from the pool. Your swimmers should bring warm clothing and extra towels to sit in the gym. NO CHAIRS ALLOWED IN THE GYMS OR ON DECK.
CBST Spring Fever - ACTION REQUIRED
In order to make sure that we allocated enough space in our CBST Spring Fever meet for our own team, we collected entries early in the fall as a placeholder. Now that we have a few meets under our belt, we understand that swimmers may want to change their CBST Spring Fever entries in an effort to qualify for additional events for the upcoming championship season.
The CBST Spring Fever entries are posted on our website under the "Meets" tab. Please click on the link below to be taken to the CBST website.
Please review the initial entry file and if there are changes that you would like to make for your athlete(s), please email Julie Kline at email@example.com NO LATER THAN JANUARY 22, 2018 at 11:59PM. Changes after this deadline cannot be made as we are required to submit our final entry file to Middle Atlantic.
Championship season meets:
Watch for an email soon regarding meet entries for championship meets.
During bad weather – coaches will get to meets if they can do so safely. In the extremely rare event that no coaches can get to a meet, that information will be provided on Twitter – we cannot promise email/website updates. Also, any information we get from the meet hosts will be communicated as possible.
Scratching From Meets:
If your swimmer’s plans change and s/he is unable to attend a meet that s/he is entered in, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org and Coach Stu at email@example.com as soon as possible. Barring an emergency, swimmers will not be scratched from events the day of the meet (if a swimmer wishes to scratch they must do so prior to the day of the meet). Unfortunately, sometimes emergency situations do arise in which a swimmer has to scratch the meet on the day-of. In such cases, please make sure you email both Julie Kline and Coach Stu to ensure that the coaching staff attending the meet is notified. It is difficult for both the meet director and our coaches to manage when they are unaware that a registered swimmer will not be in attendance.
Individuals not swimming in a meet (including parents and other family members of swimmers) may not be on deck during a meet (home or away) except when working as an on-deck volunteer at their assigned time. When on deck working, officials and other volunteers should be in the spot where they need to be to do their job (which is never the CBST team area).
LONG COURSE 2018:
If you need to register for long course, the deadline to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org is January 21st (earlier, as always, is better so that you’ll have time to comfortably handle the requirements by the registration deadline).
Remember: Please check the calendar for your swimmer’s practice information each day. Among the remaining dates to note this month are: 1/20, 1/23, 1/26 (please check each day in case of changes).
Mark your calendar for a tentative team pasta party on February 26. More details to follow when confirmed.
COMMUNICATIONS AND BILLING:
January bills were sent Friday, January 5th. Please check junk/spam if you don’t see it in your inbox and let me know right away if you don’t have your bill. Payments as always are due on the 25th.
