· Recall that there will be no age group practice on October 31st (Halloween).
· Swimmers in the senior Flash practice group (either full or part time) please complete the online waiver for PSC by November 8th per my previous message to you.
· There will be no senior morning practice on Monday, October 31st given the long weekend that our coaches will have at the pool for our meet.
· Volunteers remember to check-in on time or your volunteer spot may be given to another volunteer. (7am for the morning sessions and 12pm for the afternoon sessions)
· Note that there is no charge for CBST parents and siblings to attend our home meets. If you are not volunteering at that particular session, you do still need to go through admissions and get a stamp so you won’t have trouble getting up to the balcony. If the admissions staff do not know you, just tell them your swimmer’s name. Everyone else (including other family members) must pay for admission.
Note that the volunteer sign-up deadline is tonight and after that time the link will be removed from the portal so no changes can be made while we work out the details. Thanks to everyone for signing up to volunteer and for emailing about wanting to fill slots once the PM sign-up was full. As is generally the case, the October meet is quite popular for volunteering. This year, we are well covered for the afternoon sessions but could really use extra help in the morning sessions (especially on Sunday). If anyone would like to add a morning session please sign-up by the end of today.
Remember to arrive on time for your session (promptly at 7am for the 7am-12:30pm shift or promptly at 12 pm for the 12-5:30pm shift). Please be courteous and remember that you may be relieving another volunteer that has been staffing your position during the prior session. If you are late your spot may be assigned to another volunteer and you will not receive credit for the session. (See the agreement emailed previously.)
Looking forward to a great meet. Thanks in advance for all of your help!
Please continue to check the "Meets" tab on the CBST website for up-to-date information on upcoming meets that CBST is attending. Included on this page is a full list of the meets that CBST is attending throughout the season, along with the meet information page for that particular meet. Once a meet host accepts our entries, the Administrative Staff will post the file on that page for your reference. If you have any questions about meet entries, please contact Julie Kline firstname.lastname@example.org and Coach Stu email@example.com .
Meet Availability for the NCAP Invitational and the Blue Eagle Duck Hunt'n Derby is currently located in your portal. Please indicate your swimmer's Availability in the portal no later than Tuesday, November 2, 2016 at 11:59 pm. If you have any questions about either of these two meets, the links to the meet sheets can be found on our website under the "Meets" tab. Consistent with the previous meets this fall, when indicating Availability, please be sure to utilize the "Comments" section for events that you prefer your swimmer to be entered into or any information that is important for the coaches to know as they are selecting events for your swimmer.
Scratching From Meets:
If your swimmer’s plans change and s/he is unable to attend a meet that s/he is entered in, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org and Coach Stu at email@example.com as soon as possible. Unfortunately, sometimes situations do arise where a swimmer has to scratch the meet on the day-of. Please make sure you email both Julie Kline and Coach Stu as they are in contact with the coaching staff attending each meet.
Officials should sign-up using the link below. All other volunteers should sign-up through the portal by Wednesday.
Officials Harvest Meet sign-up:
If you ordered any CBST apparel this fall, the items will be available to pick-up during our Autumn Festival meet. If you will not be attending this meet, and you ordered team apparel, a separate communication will be sent out regarding a pick-up time and location.
CBST coaches require all CBST swimmers to wear a CBST cap during any USA Swimming meet that they are attending. If you did not have the opportunity to purchase a personalized swim cap or just want to make sure that you swimmer is ready for the fall season, please email Julie Kline at firstname.lastname@example.org and she will arrange for your purchase of a non-personalized CBST cap.
COMMUNICATIONS / MEETINGS AND BILLING:
November bills will be emailed next week. Please make payment as soon as possible and no later than the 25th for new charges and pay old charges immediately. Billing guidance is attached. If you have any questions about your bill after reading the guidance, please contact me.
